Marenica Energy confirms mineralization in Namibian uranium project

EBR Staff Writer Published 19 July 2011

Uranium explorer Marenica Energy has confirmed the presence of high grade mineralisation +50ppm in the eastern part of its 75%-owned Marenica Resource located in Namibia.

The in-fill drilling also confirms a number of northeast-trending high-grade zones; some of them remain open to the north and south.

Marenica Energy said the high-grade zones will improve geological and resource model of the prospect.

Reverse circulation drilling has been completed at the east pit program, wherein 80% holes probed identified significant intercepts of >100ppm eU3O8.

Drilling at exploration target MA7 has been completed with a total of 88 holes drilled for 2,525metres.
